Lore
The Triaros Armoured Conveyor is the principal armoured battlefield transport of the Mechanicum Taghmata in the Age of Darkness. Eschewing the more commonplace Standard Template Construct designs, the Triaros relies on technologies held as arcana by the Magos Autokrator of the Taghmata — patterns never divulged for wider Imperial use, not even to the Legiones Astartes.
Its hermetically sealable storage bay allows operation in toxic atmospheres, hard vacuum, and on the surfaces of lifeless worlds; multiple galvanic traction drives (see Galvanic Weapons) grant traction across hostile terrain. The Triaros delivers Tech-thralls and even light automata of the Legio Cybernetica into the line of battle, escorted by interlocking energy shields and independently animated weapons servitors (see Servitor).
Armament
The Triaros’s defining feature is a powerful reactor-fed Shock Ram mounted at the prow, incorporating anabaric projectors and disruption-field technology akin to that of power weapons — enough to shatter and incinerate whatever the hull collides with.
Secondary armament is borne by independently animated weapons servitors: paired centreline Volkite Calivers (see Volkite Weapons) and a pintle-mounted twin-linked Mauler Bolt Cannon. A built-in flare shield reduces the strength of incoming fire, with extra mitigation against blast weapons.
Capacity & Role
Officially described by Games Workshop as carrying up to 22 models — sufficient even for Thallax cohorts whose Bulky (2) special rule normally restricts transport — the Triaros is the workhorse dedicated transport of the Taghmata. It serves equally as ram, gun-platform, and armoured womb, with one access point on each side of the hull.
