Summary
The Centurio Ordinatus is the order of the Mechanicum that builds and deploys the Ordinatus — vast self-propelled siege engines, each one a mobile cathedral mounted on tracks the size of city blocks. The known patterns include Ordinatus Mars, Ordinatus Macharius, and Ordinatus Armageddon; each is unique, each carries a singular weapon-system at the upper bound of plasma, sonic, or kinetic engineering.
Lore
- Scale: between a Titan and a small mobile fortress. An Ordinatus can suppress a planetary front by its presence.
- Custodianship: each surviving Ordinatus has its own dedicated cohort of priests, custodians of the engine for as long as their augmetics endure — often centuries.
- Production: Ryza supplies the plasma-pattern primary weapon of the surviving Ordinatus Armageddon; Mars retains the principal manufactory for Ordinatus chassis and command-shrines.
Doctrine
The doctrine of the Centurio is the engine is the priest. The crew-cohort serves the engine, not the reverse. To lose an Ordinatus is to lose a saint — a long-process funerary rite is performed across years.
