The Cult of Sollex, also called the Divine Light of Sollex, is a militant tech-sect of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Since the eighth century of M41 it has been seated on the minor forge world of Haddrak, a tectonically unstable Death World in the northern rim of the Adrantis Nebula in the Drusus Marches of the Calixis Sector. The cult has spread beyond Haddrak, drawing adherents among the Magos Militant of the Lathes and the Tech-Priests assigned to Battlefleet Calixis.
The Sollex are zealots of the Omnissiah, regarded as fanatical even by the standards of the Mysteries of the Mechanicum, and as inhuman in temperament by their fellow priesthood. Their secrets are guarded jealously; the work of Sollex is rumoured to be put to esoteric and hidden ends beyond the open production of weapons.
Doctrine
Sollex doctrine treats destruction itself as a sacrament. They study the arts of destruction and find divine wisdom in the fractured spectrum of light. Members commonly subject themselves to cybernetic reconstruction far beyond that pursued by ordinary Enginseers, and the most exalted are described as all but impossible to kill. Preservation of the cult’s arcane mysteries from those who would misuse them is held as a higher worth than wealth, worldly power, or the lives of fellow Humans.
Specialisation — Photon and Laser
The Cult specialises in the occult mysteries of photon and laser: lasweapons of unusual potency, photonic blades, and hololithic war-systems. The lineage of the Sollex-pattern heavy lascannon is claimed by the cult’s Myrmidons to descend from the Pontifex Technis Ayahpana of the Age of Strife. The pattern is rare even within the Mechanicum Taghmata; it is mounted on the Thanatar Calix Siege-automata, a war-engine combining the tech-arcana of several secretive Mechanicum factions and capable of sundering the strongest fortifications.

Calixis Operations
Sollex adepts are suspected of multiple incidents of biospheric collapse and rumoured planet-wide eradications conducted in the name of weapons testing. Sollex Tech-Priests are sometimes seconded to Inquisitorial service owing to their above-average expertise in warfare and continued hostile contact with xenos. They are held in fear and awe by other adepts of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
