Lore
Agripinaa is a Forge World of the Adeptus Mechanicus sited close to the Eye of Terror, and is the principal supplier of arms and munitions to the Cadian Gate. It is styled the Orb of a Thousand Scars — a name earned by the relentless punishment its surface has absorbed across the millennia. Virtually the entire crust of the world is given over to industrialised infrastructure: pipelines, mines, refineries, processing plants, and manufactorum cathedrals.
Strategic Role
For millennia Agripinaa supplied the Imperial defenders of the Cadian Gate with the bulk of their materiel, its industrial heartland devoted almost wholly to the production of ammunition. Its survival rests on a vastly expanded Skitarii corps, ranks of battle-servitors, and the heroic aid of its native Titan Legion. Its strategic weight is such that, while it stands, Chaos cannot truly begin its grinding march towards Holy Terra.
Recent History
During the 13th Black Crusade and the Fall of Cadia, Agripinaa came under assault by World Eaters warbands and by Iron Warriors fleets driving out of the Eye. Since the destruction of Cadia, Agripinaa has become a key sanctuary world for refugees of the Cadian Gate — its ruling Magi welcoming any willing to serve the Omnissiah, provided they yield their flesh to the Cult.
